What a church should be!

Was a good book with practical tips!Does an increased attendance mean that the church is actually growing? Wouldn't the number of lives changed be a better indicator of growth.  This book shows ways you can get people to church in a true way! What is your church’s priority? Are you more concerned with filling your building or furthering the Kingdom? These are questions Nathan Lorick asks in his book “Dying to Grow: Reclaiming the Heart for Evangelism in the Local Church” (Aneko Press, paperback, 141 pages.) Lorick, director of evangelism at the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and a former Texas pastor, tells how as a younger man he was awakened to find himself pursuing “the ministerial version of the American dream,” valuing worldly definitions of church success over real, biblical, Christ-centered obedience and Great Commission focus This books shows that numbers don't always mean that more souls are added for Christ!  Churches must focus on Christ and his message then keeping people happy and in church!

Worth the read! a very practical book! Read reviews on http://www.lifesentencepublishing.com/dying-to-grow-blog-tour/
