The Red Door Inn by Liz Johnson

An interesting  read which will keep you spell bound even if it is a Romance. I loved the front, the ocean and the girl(I always wanted hair  like that).  There is some Christian  wording but how  much  the writer really shares a true faith in God  is left to be debated.

This story captivated the heart and takes you way to Price Edward Island.  Marie is running away from the past , trying to get away from memories that haunt her.  Prince Edward Island is just the place.  Nature  will heal her or so it seems until she meets some one she  never  wants to ever set eyes on.

Men are  more trouble then she can ever handle.  Not  all except an older one who enlists her  help in decorating an inn. While she struggles to find her place , she is shadowed  by a mysteries  man running from his  past.  why is he following her if it is plain he hates women.

Should she stay or go.  Can she help save the inn when money is running out?

“A charming inn in need of restoration, Prince Edward Island, and a love story? Yes, please! In The Red Door Inn, Liz Johnson crafts a story about new beginnings and fresh hope. I thoroughly enjoyed this first novel in her new series and the vicarious visit it offered me to the Canadian Maritime Province of Prince Edward Island. I could almost feel the sea breeze!”
– Becky Wade, author of the Porter Family series

Thanks to my good friend for this post!  Name left  out  because asked to:)

This  author has some delightful books out for children. This one is one of  my favorites.  I have always wanted to be small!  This is a story of how  Peter is looking for blueberries for his  mother and how  the  little people help him.  Great for children 5-10 but adults will delight in the beautiful art work.  I love  how Peter meets the  king of blueberry land.  Find it on good reads https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/280870.Peter_in_Blueberry_Land

This Swedish author lived from 1874-1953 and knew how to capture  children's imagination with out writing silly twaddle books!  Collect all her books.  Also sold on Amazon and Hearthsong and Magic Cabin.

This is a  must read before blueberry picking. Have a blueberry day.  Dress in blue, eat blueberries with cream or in pancakes.  Use blueberries for math  and write about your trip blueberry picking.

Korea

Koreatown

An interning book with unique recipes.  I enjoyed it except for some pictures and language. Lots of fun recipes but most would be strange to an American to make. Perhaps you would try in another land.  Lots of  fun facts scattered in this book.  Just not something the average chief would  use. That's saying a lot since I collect and cook for every country!  This book comes out for sale tomorrow the 16th.  Look for it on amazon since it does have great recipes even if I do not  love all  the language!  There will be about 100 recipes to choose from so you will find something delightful and new  like their ice cream. Some  of the info was fascinating  especially their hot dog treats.  If you live near  St Louis you will be happy to know you can get  most ingredients at global food.  So do pre order your copy and get cooking.
