Kombucha Revolution: 75 Recipes for Homemade Brews, Fixers, Elixirs, and Mixers

Lee shares his journey of probiotic discovery beginning in St. Petersburg, Russia. I have yet to make the recipes but dying too!It is almost impossible to locate a book that gives a history, instructions, and recipes of how to make Kombucha. It is even less likely that you will find recipes that stretch beyond just the traditional drink. But this one does all this. |What I really liked was the history behind this healthy drink which we should all be drinking three times a day.

ALL I can say is you must buy this if you are already invested in making Kombucha, or if you have even the slightest bit of interested. Not just drink recipes but different ways to bring it to the table as salad dressing or in recipes! Only draw back not enough pictures. I like pictures with recipes!

The Wonder Drink
Kombucha—a fizzy, fermented tea-based beverage packed with probiotics, vitamins, and enzymes—has home brewers salivating.

Trying or Trusting God

I highly recommend Active Spirituality not only because it is well-written, but also because it stands with the Bible Although this book was slow at the start, I also found that it picked up speed rapidly until I was engrossed. Not heavy reading at all.Active Spirituality has an interesting angle on the perseverance of the saints in that it is written in a letter format. Each chapter is one to three pages with thirty-one chapters in all.At the heart of this book is the hope “that this book will help some Christians to see a little more clearly why God wants us to trust him.One of the quintessential issues in the Church today is the issue of sanctification, specifically assurance. Many Christians struggle their entire Christian lives with knowing whether they are saved and continually feel the need to “accept” Jesus into their hearts.

This was good!“To the frozen north are the arctic dangers of icy legalism and frigid formalism, where religiosity and self-righteousness freeze the heart, leaving us brittle, cold, and hard towards both God and fellow human beings. The church veers north when she loses her wonder at the freedom of grace, when the heart-warming doctrine of justification by faith alone slips from her grasp. But to the swampy south, there are the tropical dangers of sultry self-indulgence and lazy licentiousness, where grace is twisted into license, and even biblically-warranted, faith-fueled effort is condemned as legalism. Bonhoeffer called this “cheap grace.” (The theological word for it is antinomianism, which means against law.) The church wanders south when she loses her wonder at the power of grace; neglects the biblical demands for effort, perseverance, and watchfulness; and collapses the action-laden language of the New Testament (walk, fight, run, conquer, etc.) into overly simple, reductionist formulas that vacate sanctifying faith of all effort. While the doctrine of justification by faith alone rescues us from the frozen glacier of legalism, it’s the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints that liberates us from the miry bog of antinomianism. At its heart, this book is about the perseverance of the saints” (page 12).

It is well worth the read. It shows how normal men seek God!There is a lot to be thankful to the Lord for in regards to this book.I highly recommend this book and pray the Lord uses it to awaken a slumbering and apathetic generation to the glory and excellencies of the gospel, including its warnings, for His glory.

End times

The Author, Russell Stendal is a Christian , a former hostage of the Colombian rebels,  who is a lifelong missionary to that same group in the jungles of Colombia. He is an influential friend to military and government leaders in Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, and the United States. Russell’s ministry shares the gospel via twelve radio stations, hundreds of thousands of Bibles, books, and movies distributed through airplane parachute drops, and numerous speaking engagements for groups of leaders, prisoners, and individuals. Russell goes wherever the Lord leads, whether it’s to speak with a president or to go deep into the jungle to help an individual in trouble. He has witnessed thousands commit their lives to Christ. Thus this  book is written from a Christian perspective. The book was interesting in that it told much about God's plan in  history and goes on to elaborate about what the prophets have to say. Excellent read .

The author touches on important things. The Seventh Trumpet&The Seven Thunders, is a book that explores the Old Testament prophecies and how those prophecies were carried out in the New Testament writings Although I felt a tinge of hopelessness while reading this book, I came away in the end feeling hopeful because  now I want to delve  more into what I believe. Interesting thoughts on the end times, but can't say I agree with all of it. Read with an open mind.

Thanks for the book!

An outstanding true story!

An outstanding true story!"Rescue the Captors" details the 142 day ordeal Russell Stendal experienced in a remote area of Colombia, South America in 1983. This is an astonishing story of his kidnapping and ultimate release. In subsequent years other kidnappings in Colombia have impacted the efforts of Gospel ministry throughout the world.Rescue the Captors was a book that was very hard to put down. an honest book so I got some inside  into his life that showed me God uses sinners!Read this in one sitting; writing is average, but easy to follow story line. Good book for a rainy day. I will recommend it to others . would be great for a church library!

Read this then watch the movie and listen to the sound track!" I really enjoyed the book."I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for some insight into life on the mission field as well as an interesting real-life adventure. The book is best but the others are good too. I have passed this on to others so they can learn about serving Christ! This is a very inspiring book.  This is a very inspiring bookcid:image001.jpg@01CF4CCA.91C734D0 Reviewed for this company. Not a favorite

A little disappointed  at how much of the book spoke of childhood hurt but not enough about God. The back is a little  miss leading. I liked the fact that there were pictures in the back of the  The author writes

After forty years of searching, I have finally come to peace with my own life.  I now realize that God loves me, and even when I didn’t realize he was there, he was watching over me and leading me.  My message to all children of divorced parents out there is: God loves you.  He is protecting you and watching out for you.  He has a will and purpose for your life. He will show you the way.  No matter how bad things seem right now, keep breathing and keep believing. Even though your earthly mother or father may have let you down, your heavenly Father will not..

There are several things I do not agree with, in the above paragraph written by the above author. A false message is given- God does not love all. For if God did so than many more would be in heaven.

I thought this book would have more ishing stories that would point one to hrist. Yet there were still a few gold nuggets to b found in the book ( I read every page). I liked how he forgave. That is a hard things to do. I jsut wish he had said he had been praying for  his parents. This book was an OK read but I would not recommend it! I am sorry to say another thing disturbed me - how he married his wife even if they wee apposed.

LIFE SENTENCE Publishing.  gave me this book to review. I am thankful as  many of there books I enjoyed.
