I wanted to really like this book but being very picky about pictures in or on the cover reflecting the book, I was disappointed with this one. Gray is supposed to be a big and really not like he picture being over 6 feet tall . Dru is much shorter. Also the cover gives the story away.
As I begin this review, I want to make one thing very clear: I DO NOT/have never/will never read any of the other books in this series. One can not know it is a series from the book. I know nothing bout the main characters family of brother, so Dru is really all I am interested in but there is a lot about others in her family. I also knew nothing about the author Becky Wade prior to reading this new book. As a woman, I know the feeling of desiring romance and the search for peace and stability in this crazy life. What I loved about this book is that the author makes a very clear point that only JESUS can fulfill your desires and longings and loneliness!
This book is a story of a girl who wasn't apposed to Christianity and its traditions but who did not have a personal relationship with Jesus. This is a romance. The action scenes were full of energy but there was too much of kissing in the book. I liked how God used Dru to help strengthen His relationship with Gray, and vice versa, always such a wonderful thing to see in a romance novel! Some parts were good but mostly this was not as good as I had hoped.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. Thanks!
