I just saw Jesus

 I do not often care  for books with pictures of  Jesus but  despite this front this book was great! This is the story of  how one  man took this inspiring  ,movies  the world wide to reach  millions of people for Christ. A  little over 180 pages this book is  amazing.
I really enjoyed the salvation stories.  One of the first is about a Messiah warrior from Africa ( studied these people in depth  not  too long ago and love them). God is  an amazing God saving  people all over the world.  Paul decided to sue this  Jesus film  because  he realized  millions  could  no read. Follow the author on his  many dangerous journeys  as he spreads the word.  See  how  God worked all things  out for his glory.

Lastly the book talks about Campus crusades and  what this film is doing.  See  how world wide this  film has ben shown over 9 million times converting thousands.  This story really shows he voluntary risk  missionaries, people and pastors take to spread the gospel.  In the end you will be wondering what you can do!

What can I say about a book that brings you to tears at the magnitude of God's wondrous love for his people Miracle of Israel: The Shocking, Untold Story of God’s Love for His People by Gary Frazier & Jim Fletcher  starts out with an amazing story of how God saved the Israel army today , not just in Bible past.  A  must read as one needs to know that God does indeed still do miracles.  This is the history of he Jews, much we already know but  then there are so many modern  uplifting stories that  we probably have over looked. How often do e follow Israel's wars.  We should to be amazed at our God. The author  points all the Glory to God.  This is an out standing   book that pastors will want to read.  It opens your eyes to understanding this small country better. The history of the Bible which we have read a million times come alive!  I encourage you to read this book as it is  not too long so you will not be board- in fact you will want it to continue.

I am not sure I agree with all the doctrine but again I am not an expert on  this subject,  I will do a little  more studying,

My praise for this book are not high enough . This is one christen teenagers fiction which is worth reading, Actually it is also good for adults  too. I was so impressed with the writing style of this thriller. This would be a great read for a home schooling family studying Rome. I highly recommenced it for boys. This will get your non reader to read! This is not your normal christen fiction  where God is just thrown in a few inappropriate  parts. The christen faith and lal that pertains to  God is the life of the story. One can not extract it from the book or there will be nothing to this read. It is not like other books where if you took God out you could have a fine book.  You feel that God is the authors life. Some day Lord willing I want to own all her books!

A book always has more power when the author who creates it has a story.   Helo did a great job telling her story! She is all about God's glory and helping you, the reader.  I was very impressed with how touched I was with her faith in God in her struggles. I cried though most of the book . I couldn't put it down.Halo Found Hope is the true story of an ordinary, happily married woman with 3 children whose life is abruptly changed by a devastating medical diagnosis. Missionary

Born in Scotland on March 23^, 1813 David Livingstone set out twenty-seven years later in 1849 to become a medical missionary in Africa. The first thing he set himself about mastering, upon having reached the vast content of Africa was the difficult and numerous languages. Four years succeeding his landing in this hostile country he married the daughter of Dr. Robert Moffat, leader of the African mission station where Livingstone worked. As, the years swiftly sped by not only was Livingstone able to construct several mission stations but he became egar to explore deeper into the vast wilderness of Africa. Leaving, his work in 1849 Livignstone acting as interpreter for two hunters traveled for two months where he reached Lake Nagami. Accounts of the white man’s first sight of this lake caused much interest in England and at that moment the life of adventure and seeking unknown horizons became a vital part in Livignstones mission. About  a year later traveling once more with his two companies Livingstone came upon the mighty waters of the upper Lombezi River. Diligently  he pondered over several questions which kept rising in his mind causing him to be curios as to if this rushing body of water connect with the Congo? Without warning he was unable to set out upon a new exploration because he battled malaria but this did not dampen his sprits.

God loves

 So many people, Christians and non-Christians alike, look at their wounds and sense that they are somehow beyond repair, that their moments of weakness make them spiritually defective. In this powerful book full of deep biblical teaching, Walsh encourages readers with God's truth that he is not done with them yet, that he can and will redeem their failures to create a deeper intimacy with him and accomplish his kingdom purposes.
She does write honestly about her places of brokeness and the things  that she still struggles with today.  This was however, a book I found very hard to get into and to finish.  It felt disjointed to me and I had to really focus.  She tends to quote a lot of other people all through out the book which I don't like because to me personally, it breaks the flow of the author's voice.  And she tells a lot of other people's stories along with her own.  

A must read!

I was so impressed with this  book. It is one I highly recommend to all to read.Living in an era of highly technical medicine is comforting and sometimes confusing. How should Christians make life and death decisions?

This is an adult book well worth the read. In our day and age of  cloning we really need to focus on the Bible and what is says about it. First it the author tells us the history of his new approach and then he quickly and clearly points us to the Bible for truths if we should do this. She shows us that we  should never just trust science and  medical resources  with out the Bible.  I was truly blessed by this book and will definitely recommend it to others.Overall, this is a clear concisely packaged exposition of what  Bioethics is. 

Those interested in fighting against abortion will really be blessed by the chapter in this volume. I was deeply touched by one  mothers sacrifice for her unborn baby,. she refused  cancer treatment to her little one could live! This book is a refreshing and encouraging read

This is a great book to read and understand, and small enough to finish in one or two days  but very deep with a lot to ponder.This is an excellent and very helpful book.

In His Arms

I was impressed with most of this book. If you feel overwhelmed with life then you must read this volume. Are you always trying to do more than one ting at a time ? Stop pick up this book and read  to get insight  from the author who can save you from going down the wrong path. You will learn to listen and find what is most important!If you are feeling that feeling of being overwhelmed with the busyness of life, this book can help you slow down and focus on God’s plan and timing instead of the accomplishments of the world. When it’s all focused on Him, there is much less pressure on us.

This book will help you commit fully to a life time of following Christ! Weems does a fabulous job of weaving together simple, practical advice, encouragement and biblical teachings to help us get back to pace that leads to wholeness, . A very uplifting read.

My least favorite chapter was on exercising , not because it was poorly written but jsut because info was so basic.

This book will enable one to have a lifestyle of unbroken faith in God!

This is a super fun book! On each page is a picture of a grandam with her ingredient a dish,  from around the world and a little about her, her cooking, family and land. On the other side is the recipe pictured!! Photographer Gabriele Galimberti has traveled the world, interviewing women who have served their families in the home for decades.! This book is quite varied; the author includes countries from South America, Africa, North America, Asia and Europe. I have yet to share with my siblings but I know they will enjoy it since we have a fasination for people from other lands!

Note of worning - there are two pictures not to be shown to a mixed group. This book is to be treasured mainly for the photographs and short  sketches about each beloved grandmother! Featuring grandmothers and their dishes from sixty countries, Galimberti has captured the heart and soul of families across the globe.

Refreshing

I am delighted to share with you a wonderful read! Yes I am still reading and finding good worth while books.This short book has three sections. “Knowing God as Triune” contains the bulk of the book and establishes Owen’s focus on communion with the Trinity.

“Heavenly Mindedness and Apostasy” places emphasis on public worship and the ways that believers can both cultivate and destroy it.

 “Covenant and Church” most directly addresses the church’s worship under the New Covenan

This book is part of the “Profiles in Reformed Spirituality” series, edited by Joel Beeke and Michael Haykin, which aims to, “introduce the spirituality and piety of the Reformed tradition by presenting descriptions of the lives of notable Christians with select passages from their works.” This was indeed well done and worth the read.

There is much to commend the book. The editor has updated some of the language of Owen and most importantly, added some paragraph markers making the flow of thought a little easier. The selections do serve as a nice introduction to Owen's writings, as they are usually less than three pages. The majority of the book is Owen's text without much commentary. who needs to comment on sch a great writer."There is no death of sin without the death of Christ." ~ John Owen
